Summary of position
Reporting to the ANZ Financial Controller, this position will be responsible for the delivery of the day-to-day accounting function for ANZ. This will include financial reporting and analysis, WIP (Work in Progress) & AR (Accounts Receivable) management as well AP (Accounts Payable) management. The role is challenging, diverse, and will be pivotal in helping the future growth of the business. The role will be based in Sydney with the option for hybrid working.
The successful candidate will be able to work 4 to 5 days per week.
Main duties:
- Management of the WIP and AR function and mailbox including review of contract information, managing overruns, invoicing and opening, closing of job codes and responding to Partner and Principal WIP & AR queries and other ad hoc requests
- Management of ANZ Accounts payable function and mailbox. Tasks include checking appropriate approvals have been obtained and before sending to FST (Financial Services Team) to process, advising FST of appropriate SAP job code and general ledger code as well as liaising with FST to any AP-related queries
- SAP Bank and AP data clearing and reconciliations
- Cash forecasting
- Manage Fixed Asset Register
- Assistance in managing the annual audit
- Assist in forecasting each month and analysis of actual billings against forecast
- Post journals
- Management Accounts Expense reconciliation and analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Communicating with multiple stakeholders across the firm and at all levels of the management structure
What we seek
- Must have a strong academic background including a university degree in finance or business
- Must have good communication skills, the ability to engage with people and get them on side
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Basic Accounting knowledge
- Strong reconciliation skills
- Knowledge of SAP is preferable
- Previous experience working within a multinational company is preferrable
