About the role: 

BinaryCore is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Embedded Software Developer to join our CI/CD team. This role is perfect for those eager to dive into the world of embedded software development and make a tangible impact.  

You'll work alongside seasoned professionals, contributing to the development and deployment of innovative software solutions for our clients. This role is a fantastic opportunity to get hands-on experience in the full software development lifecycle in a collaborative, learning-focused environment. 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with engineers and clients throughout the embedded software development chain, contributing innovative ideas and perspectives. 
  • Learn and contribute to defining architectural patterns in the CI/CD workflow of embedded software development. 
  • Participate in all stages of software development, from brainstorming to maintenance. 
  • Work with hardware engineers and system architects to integrate software into complex systems. 
  • Embrace hands-on learning, assisting in prototyping and coding while adhering to industry standards. 
  • Engage in unit testing and debugging to enhance problem-solving skills. 
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in automotive embedded software development. 
  • Collaborate with the cloud technology team to explore embedded software integration with cloud solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Keen interest in embedded software development with basic programming language familiarity (C/C++, Rust, etc.). 
  • Eagerness to learn diverse embedded operating systems (QNX, Android, etc.). 
  • Genuine interest in software concepts, design patterns, and architecture. 
  • Openness to agile methodologies and collaborative team environments. 
  • Curiosity and motivation to learn DevOps practices in embedded software applications. 
  • Basic understanding of programming and scripting languages, tools, and frameworks in embedded CI/CD processes (Python, Java, Conan, Bazel, Jenkins, ZUUL, Artifactory, Nexus, Docker, etc.). 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ready to share ideas and learn from others
