Kearney Activate Salesforce Functional Lead

As a Salesforce Functional Lead at Kearney Activate part of the Customer Platforms practice, you will work with clients to design and configure Salesforce.com solutions based on client needs while managing overall aspects of the project. You will collaborate with Salesforce.com customers and internal team members to understand business needs, define requirements, and translate those requirements into Salesforce solutions.

In this role, you will support the design, prototyping, configuration, testing, and implementation of Salesforce applications. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that solutions align with business processes and support successful delivery and adoption. The role also includes supporting activities such as data migration, system testing, and end-user training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly client status meetings and create and manage project timelines, as well as other project management activities.
  • Lead work sessions with Salesforce.com customers and other team members to understand needs, define requirements, and document business processes.
  • Lead work sessions to design and prototype Salesforce.com applications based on client needs.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce.com Sales, Service, Community, and Marketing Cloud applications.
  • Analyze data, create field mappings, and execute data migration.
  • Assist in the creation of use cases and/or test cases and facilitate or participate in system testing.
  • Design and deliver end-user training.

 

Who You Are

We seek collaborative, detail-oriented consultants who enjoy working at the intersection of technology, data, and customer experience. You are comfortable engaging directly with clients, translating marketing goals into technical solutions, and balancing hands-on execution with structured delivery discipline.

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business, MIS, Computer Science, or related field of study.
  • Salesforce.com Certified in at least one of the following: Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, or Platform Developer.
  • Strong customer-facing verbal communication and written skills
  • Experience and understanding of Agile project methodologies
  • 3–5 years’ experience administering and/or developing on Salesforce.com, including:
    • Managing user setup, profiles, roles, and sharing settings.
    • Customizing standard and custom objects including fields, page layouts, and record types.
    • Creating and managing workflow rules, data variations, and object customizations.
    • Creating and maintaining reports and dashboards.
    • Importing and exporting data.
  • Solid understanding of sales, service, and marketing processes and industry best practices to adequately understand client needs and provide guidance.
  • Proven knowledge of the software and systems development lifecycle, including experience with enterprise-level integrations involving business-critical systems.
  • Experience integrating with Salesforce API is a plus.
  • Experience developing and deploying custom end-user systems and providing guidance on implementation best practices.
  • Experience coaching and managing team members.
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills and ability to think through problems creatively.
  • Experience working with and/or managing both onshore and offshore development teams.
  • Experience working within a dynamic team environment and independently

Base Salary: Starting at $100k. It is important to note that at Kearney, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills. Kearney reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.  In addition to salary, individuals may be eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.
