About the Role

 

The position of Global HW and SW Engineer is a role that provides support and has an important impact on creation, deployment, management, and maintenance of the firm’s secured global base build (GBB) environment for Windows and Macintosh endpoints and servers, including integration of all standard software products, management tools, security tools, drivers and any other standard application, security, or performance configurations.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, optimization, and maintenance of Kearney Global Base build for PC
  • Design, optimization and maintenance of Apple MacOS deployments using JAMF-Cloud MDM
  • Kearney (AutoIT based) Preinstallation Environment including Preboot Execution
  • Kearney SMART reporting tool for PC and MAC
  • Software Packaging and deployment for PC and MAC
  • Design, implementation, operation, and management of the firm’s global Windows and Apple Macintosh workstation endpoints
  • Contribution to the selection, implementation, operation, and management of the firm’s internally hosted and cloud-based infrastructure necessary to deploy, manage and maintain these systems globally
  • Contribution to the establishment of global endpoint hardware standards used for all worldwide employees
  • Provide Tier One (advanced) technical knowledge and expertise in the daily support of our global workstations and employees by assisting Kearney’s IT support teams (Technical Analysts, Help Desk, IMT and other members of IT support teams)
  • Keep current with industry strategy and changes, demonstrating innate interest and subject matter expertise on enterprise endpoint computing technology and how this technology is applied to everyday work activities
  • Contribute to review and assess new hardware and software, recommend improvements as tools and technology evolves
  • Contribute to the collaboration with and coordinate relationships with our primary endpoint hardware and software suppliers (Microsoft, JAMF, ThinkCell, etc.)
  • Collaborate and support other IT team members by configuring and adapting the GBB environment for secure operation of all endpoints, including security protections, global AD domains, custom application owners, unique business requirements, etc.

Key Requirements & Technical Skills

  • Excellent knowledgebase
  • Enterprise level experience with industry endpoint management and maintenance systems, including Microsoft Intune, WSUS, SCCM, Windows PE, Apple DEP and JAMF device management
  • Strong ability to identify, troubleshoot and operate advanced technology solutions to address business requirements
