2025 Black@Kearney Scholarship Program

The Black@Kearney Scholarship Program in London supports students of Black heritage in their penultimate year of university on their journey into consulting.

Kearney’s commitment

This scholarship is sponsored by Black@Kearney, a network of Black employees and allies aiming to create real change for Black people, both within our firm and in the wider community.

What is the Black@Kearney Scholarship Program?

The scholarship offers a year-long mentorship program aiming to equip you with an excellent skillset for the consulting industry, as well as an endowment of £2,000.

You will be offered:

• 1:1 mentoring support
• Access to the Kearney network and an opportunity to connect with diverse employees
• Coaching with the job application process and CV skills and competency interview tips
• Case interview preparation support to successfully interview at consulting firms
• A financial stipend of £2,000 for the 2025–2026 academic year
• A fast-tracked application to our Kearney Academy program, a week-long recruitment event providing insight into life as a consultant and a major first step to joining us full-time in one of our graduate roles

You will be expected to:

• Act as an informal ambassador of Kearney at your university upholding our core values
• Support with the organization of an event(s) at your university as required
• Assist with the promotion of the Black@Kearney Scholarship Program

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for Black students in their penultimate year of undergraduate studies from any degree or discipline.

Successful candidates will have a minimum outstanding degree of 2.1 or higher, as well as:

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Top-rate problem-solving ability
• Brilliant leadership skills and a proven track record of impactful decision-making

1. Give an example of a time you demonstrated one of the five Kearney values. What was the resulting impact, and why is this value important to you? (250 words max)
2. Imagine your university is looking to invest to improve the student experience. This could include, but is not limited to, student well-being, access and outreach, career support, etc. You are in a team with support from Kearney consultants and resources and are pitching an idea for this investment. What project would you run on your campus and why? (200 words max)
3. What role (if any) do you think businesses should play in creating a more equal world? (200 words max)

What happens after you apply?

Kearney will review all applications. If you are shortlisted, you will receive an invitation to our full-day event at our London office in April, where you will:

• Learn more about our firm
• Gain insights into consulting
• Participate in a case challenge

Students who perform exceptionally well in the case challenge will be awarded the scholarship. We will notify shortlisted candidates by March 24, 2025.
