Position Overview
Kearney is seeking a motivated and analytically driven Business Consulting Intern to join our Activate Connected Planning team within the Kinaxis practice. This internship provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced Business Architects and implementation teams supporting large-scale advanced planning system implementations for global clients.
The Business Consulting Intern will assist with supply chain process design, business requirements gathering, solution documentation, and operational analysis across end-to-end supply chain planning functions. This role is ideal for candidates interested in supply chain transformation, digital operations, and advanced planning technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Business Architects in blueprinting activities that translate business requirements into scalable solution designs, including process flows, planning logic, data requirements, and decision-support needs
- Assist with facilitating workshops and design sessions to document current-state challenges, future-state processes, and functional requirements
- Help analyze and document supply chain planning processes across demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, S&OP / IBP, capacity planning, and order fulfillment
- Assist in translating business requirements into functional solution documentation, user stories, and implementation support materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Architects, consultants, solution architects, technical teams, and client stakeholders
- Assist with change management activities, training documentation, and end-user enablement efforts
- Conduct research and analysis related to supply chain planning trends, digital transformation, and industry best practices
- Support assessments of existing supply chain planning processes and tools to identify opportunities for operational improvement and value realization
- Support development of client presentations, workshop materials, and project deliverables
- Assist with documenting business value opportunities tied to planning transformation initiatives
- Contribute to internal knowledge development, process assets, and go-to-market materials for the practice
- Collaborate with internal teams to support project execution in a fast-paced consulting environment

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic consulting environment
- Interest in supply chain transformation, connected planning, and digital operations
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to or experience with advanced planning systems (APS) or supply chain planning platforms
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and end-to-end supply chain networks
- Coursework or project experience related to supply chain planning, operations strategy, or enterprise systems
- Familiarity with Kinaxis RapidResponse, o9, or similar supply chain planning tools is a plus
- Experience with process design, process mapping, or business analysis methodologies is preferred
- Knowledge of supply chain planning concepts including demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, and S&OP / IBP
- Exposure to supply chain data structures, planning metrics, or analytics concepts is a plus
- Interest or exposure to industries such as CPG / FMCG, High Tech, Industrial, or Life Sciences is preferred
The base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000 CAD annually, prorated for the duration of the internship, less required and authorized withholdings and deductions, and payable in accordance with Kearney’s payroll practices.
This is a temporary internship position and is not eligible to participate in Kearney’s employee benefit plans or programs, including health and welfare and retirement benefits. You are eligible for sick leave, paid time off, and relocation assistance, if applicable, as described separately.
