The Experienced Hire Recruiter will be responsible for hiring qualified candidates for Partner and Principal consulting positions across industry and service practices. The Recruiting teams at Kearney are highly collaborative and the Recruiter may also support other levels of Experienced Hire Recruitment, Campus Recruitment and internal recruitment efforts. Flexibility and agility to support varying priorities as well as a desire to grow and develop is key.
Key Responsibilities
Planning, Organizing and Execution
- Work with Partners and Recruiting leadership to develop sourcing strategies for identifying top talent and building candidate pipelines
- Screen, interview, and manage senior candidates throughout recruitment process
- Provide coaching and direction to Recruiting team members that are sourcing and building candidate pipelines
- Contribute to the execution of our Inclusion recruiting strategy, ensuring goals and objectives are met
- Oversee team members responsible for interview logistics, candidate travel, debrief scheduling, and offer paperwork extension
- Develop offers in line with Kearney guidelines and candidate expectations and play an active role in offer negotiation and close
- Actively participate and engage on strategic projects
- Contribute to building the Kearney employment brand
- Participate in firm building activities
- Stay on top of market and competitive trends
- Assist Recruiting Managers and Director with recruiting efforts across teams
Relationship Development
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients, senior stakeholders and leadership
- Build relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Identify talent sourcing strategies based on search needs, engage a search firm where necessary, execute search from start to finish (interviews, debriefs, offer, approvals, conversion)
- Work closely with and build strong relationships with Practice Leaders and Partners
- Stay abreast of market intel and competitor information
- Liaise with external recruiting firms as needed and develop list of trusted advisors
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal resource groups from a recruiting lens

- Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent 4-year degree required
- Have at least 6-8 years of work experience in recruiting; 1-2 years of agency recruiting experience is a plus but not required
- Have experience executing and advising on senior level recruitment
- Have experience managing and supporting the growth and development of junior team members
- Are able to come into the Chicago office at least once per week for team meetings and/or events
- Have experience in sourcing candidates through creative methods - including research, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and job postings
- Possess strong organizational, analytical, communication, and time management skills
- Have stellar interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Are a motivated team player
- Possess the ability to work independently on self-directed basis
- Are able to manage competing demands while maintaining adaptability and flexibility
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Have experience utilizing applicant tracking system and virtual interviewing platform is a plus;
- Are able to travel occasionally, and have the ability to come into the office once a week for team meetings

Recruiter Compensation - $75k-$85k: It is important to note that at Kearney, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills. Kearney reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness. In addition to salary, individuals may be eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.
