About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of SAP S/4HANA Transformations to lead enterprise-scale digital initiatives across multiple clients and industries. As a senior leader, you will oversee multiple project portfolios, drive client success, and shape strategic transformation outcomes in collaboration with executive stakeholders.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team of program managers and consultants, ensuring operational excellence, profitable account growth, and long-term client relationships. This is a highly strategic leadership position focused on governance, delivery excellence, and organizational transformation — not hands-on configuration. However, the role also includes active involvement in project work and onboarding to ensure successful delivery and alignment with client needs.”

Key Responsibilities

·        Lead multi-account portfolios encompassing ERP and digital transformation programs (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle) across industries.

·        Manage and mentor teams of 10+ professionals and multiple project managers, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.

·        Shape client transformation strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and measurable value realization.

·        Serve as executive sponsor in client steering committees and governance boards.

·        Drive business development: identify new opportunities, expand accounts, and oversee proposal development and sales pipelines.

·        Ensure delivery excellence — projects delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, with consistent client satisfaction.

·        Oversee risk management, vendor coordination, and program governance across concurrent engagements.

·        Collaborate closely with senior Kearney Activate leadership to integrate strategic advisory and technology delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

·        15 years of professional experience in IT consulting, ERP (SAP) transformation, or enterprise technology delivery.

·        Proven leadership of multiple teams or business units, with responsibility for staffing, development, and client success.

·        Demonstrated sales and account ownership experience, including P&L or revenue accountability.

·        Strong expertise in ERP/digital transformation programs (especially SAP S/4HANA).

·        Experience engaging at C-suite level and contributing to long-term transformation roadmaps.

·        Background in manufacturing, retail, telecom, or aerospace industries a plus.

·        Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.

·        Advanced degree in IT, Business, or related field preferred.

·        SAP, Scrum, PMP, or equivalent certification advantageous.

·        Fluent in German with very good English proficiency
