About the job 

Kearney's consulting services in the GCC are geared towards supporting our clients in the region achieve sustainable growth by providing premium consulting services for development of strategic expansion programs and business excellence. The Middle East office builds on Kearney’s successful track record of advising government, local firms and international clients in the region. 

As a Translator for our Riyadh office, you will support with the accurate translation of business-related presentations, proposals, and texts with topics such as market studies, business strategy, company organization, human resources, etc.

Reporting directly to the Translation Team Lead in Riyadh, you will be given the freedom to be yourself along with recognition for what you bring to the table, allowing you to make a real impact and be a true Kearney Original. 

Key responsibilities 

·       Translate and edit business, commercial, and selected legal documents clearly and accurately to the highest quality, escalating specialised legal content for review as appropriate 

·       Produce written translations of a variety of documents from English to Arabic (majority of work) and Arabic to English within tight deadlines 

·       Complete formatting changes as necessary.  These can be in-depth so an excellent working knowledge of MS PowerPoint and Word is vital. 

·       Proofread and edit final translated documents to provide grammatically correct, well-expressed final version of the translated texts. 

·       Attend client meetings with case team when necessary to discuss translation projects and answer questions. 

·       Possibly work at client’s location as required 

·       Use Kearney-approved translation memory, terminology-management, machine translation, and AI-enabled tools to improve consistency and efficiency, while applying professional judgment and full human review to all final deliverables 

·       Validate AI- or machine-generated content for accuracy, completeness, tone, terminology, cultural appropriateness, formatting, and client-specific requirements before delivery 

·       Maintain and contribute to approved bilingual glossaries, translation memories, style guides, and reusable terminology resources 

·       Escalate ambiguous source content, specialist terminology, quality risks, or legal/sensitive content to the Translation Team Lead as appropriate 

·       Use strong research skills and approved reference sources to identify accurate terminology and closest equivalents, taking into account country, client, and subject-matter specifics. 

·       Ensure security and confidentiality of all translated materials, including use of approved tools only and no upload of confidential or client material to unapproved public AI platforms

We want to hear from you if you: 

         Hold a Bachelor’s degree in translation or equivalent

         Have 2+ years of translation experience (English to Arabic/Arabic to English) within a professional services firm, consulting, or other fast-paced business environment would be advantageous.

         Have strong knowledge of Arabic syntax, grammar, and semantics to be able to proofread and edit translated documents.

         Ability to translate up to 2,000 words per day with strong attention to detail.

         Have excellent communication skills.

         Possess a mix of business sense, with preferably a consulting industry understanding.

         Possess Pragmatism, open-mindedness, and flexibility (there will be occasional out of hours requirements).

         Able to engage with senior level stakeholders and to operate in a high-pressure environment maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

         Have ability to prioritize actions in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to plan workflow, work independently, and take initiative.

         Can manage own workload responsibly if working remotely.

         Are a team player, contributing to internal initiatives.

         Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, clarity, tact, professionalism.

         Ability to maintain highest levels of internal and external confidentiality & integrity.

         Have proficiency in MS Office package; PowerPoint is a must, plus MS Word and

         Have strong research, fact-checking, and terminology-validation skills
