About the Role
The Training and Development Assistant will provide logistics and administrative support for Kearney Learning programs and initiatives including participant administration and analysis, development and implementation of learning program logistics, systems support, and any project requirements This role reports directly to the Global Learning Senior Manager. This position is based in Chicago and encourages candidates from Black/African American, Latinx/Hispanic, and Native American backgrounds to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Contribute to our team’s vision for virtual and social learning that supports and empowers our employees
- Support the organization of frequent and complex training and development meetings, and in person and virtual learning programs for Kearney employees
- Provide strategic logistical support to several projects, which may include activities such as: participant scheduling, communications and tracking, faculty communications, venue logistics (including catering and audio-visual management)
- Prepare program materials: maintain materials library and supplies (program handouts, teambuilding materials, and audio-visual materials)
- Administer program participation tracking via firm’s learning management system
- Produce webinars and virtual learning events to manage virtual platform technologies and participant experience
- Process and analyze level one program evaluations
- Provide on-site support of in-office classroom programs
- Support other learning-related initiatives and projects, as requested by the Global Learning Head and Americas Senior Manager
- Demonstrate time-management and self-management to prioritize objectives and achieve work goals
- Respond quickly to requests and achieve effective results within given time frame
Relationships & People
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Global Learning Team, external delivery partners and internal clients
- Foster a collaborative, productive and creative work environment
- Seek feedback on overall performance—strengths and development needs and respond positively to coaching and guidance
- Proactively address conflicts within the team and/or performance issues
Analytics & Financials
- Conduct desk-based research (example: venue research, participant flight schedules, price comparison, online reviews)
- Perform team financials: process AMEX, invoices and manage team financial and participant expense trackers
- Function as a Learning Management System and Learning Experience Platform Super User (training to be provided), including setting up offerings, entering participant registration/completion, all with a high level of data quality
- Produce deliverables with strong attention to detail, including Excel and PowerPoint documents
- Ask proactive questions to clarify scope and approach
Administrative Support for Global Team Leader (~25% of time)
- Handle calendaring/scheduling for meetings and programs as required
- Schedule travel, both domestic and international
- Process weekly expense reports and timesheets
- Other support tasks as needed
Communications
- Communicate information effectively and answer questions succinctly
- Create visually appealing work that requires limited formatting, proofreading and edits

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, with strong academic credentials (new graduates welcome to apply)
- Meeting and event planning experience a plus
- Intermediate PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
- Aptitude for learning/using new software and systems
