Job Description

A.T. Kearney, Inc. has multiple openings for Kearney Principal(s) in Chicago, IL (with extensive travel and/or possible relocation in unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.) to specialize in providing management-consulting services to private and public organizations. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for account leadership and consulting team management and supporting business development pursuits.
  • Identify opportunities through proposal development, presentations and client relationships that generate and extend business for the firm.
  • Contribute to the development of intellectual capital in specific areas of expertise.
  • Oversee organizational studies and evaluations and develop solutions or alternative methods to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
  • Supervise and lead the consulting team at a senior level to develop solutions and alternative methods of proceeding.
  • Lead the design of systems and procedures to address performance problems within the clients’ organization and improve the organizations’ structure, efficiency, or profits.
  • Oversee the production of operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
  • Oversee the advising of clients on organizational strategy to solve problems and transform operations.
  • Supervise activities of a team of Managers, Associates and Business Analysts. Headquarters of U.S. is in Chicago, IL (with extensive travel and/or possible relocation in unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.).
  • Up to 80% domestic and/or international travel required. Telecommuting is permitted.

Requirements: 

  • Education Requirement:  Master’s degree or a foreign equivalent in Economics, Engineering, Management, Business, Information Technology or related field.
  • Work Experience Requirement: 4 years of experience in the field of Economics, Business, Engineering, Management, Information Technology or related field.
  • Alternate Acceptable Education and/or Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or a foreign equivalent in Economics, Engineering, Management, Business, Information Technology or related field and 6 Years of experience in the field of Economics, Business, Engineering, Management, Information Technology or related field.

Specific Skills or Other Requirements:

 Experience to include: 

  • Experience in account leadership and consulting team management;
  • Deliver large, multi-million dollar projects to clients with high-performing teams;
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships;
  • Drive strategic decisions for clients (e.g. market entry analysis and strategy, cost structure assessment, and improvement strategy);
  • Oversee detailed project plans, financial modeling, data analytics and extensive research.

WORK HOURS: 40 hours/week 

SALARY: $245,000 to $270,000 per year
