Kearney, ME Client Finance Analyst

 

About the job 

As an Analyst within Kearney’s Dubai office, you will play a vital role in supporting the Client Finance and Operations function for the Middle East region. Reporting to the Client Finance Manager and guided by a Senior Analyst, you’ll be responsible for financial operations across the full project lifecycle - from pipeline management and job activation to invoicing and time/expense management. You will serve as an internal advisor to Practice leadership and other key stakeholders.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Staffing, HR, Legal, and Office Management, and work closely with finance colleagues across Dubai, South Africa, and Turkey.

The ME Client Finance team consists of 8 members, with ME Finance consisting of 26 members.

Key responsibilities 

Pipeline Management

·       Ensure complete and accurate tracking of potential sales opportunities in SAP in collaboration with project leadership

·       Use your judgement and understanding to challenge the pipeline attributes for reliable inputs into the financial planning and forecasting of the firm

·       Track, monitor and review the documentation requirements at the proposal stage of a project

·       Present the pipeline status and outlook to Practice Leaders on a regular basis

Billable Project Setup and Activation

·       Ensure timely creation of billable job codes aligned with Project Officers and our revenue recognition policies

·       Work with Project Teams to collect and validate pricing tools/budgets and other project documentation to activate projects in line with our internal policies

·       Liaise with FST (back-end team) to accurately record this information (budget, start and end dates, invoice schedules, etc.) in SAP

·       Coordinate with Translations team for Arabic contracts

·       Align with Staffing function on resources vs budget requirements

Invoicing

·       Create and maintain invoice schedules in SAP

·       Timely issuance of client invoices; this includes coordinating with project teams, FST (back-end team) for SAP entry and Translations team where applicable

·       Support Senior Analyst where needed on cash forecasting dates, collections follow-ups and invoice portal management

Time and Expenses Management

·       Review, validate and process time or expense recharges received from project teams

·       Support Senior Analyst with WIP management where required

Other Tasks / Adhoc Support

·       Assist with financial tool access and usage e.g. pricing tool / budget creation

·       Fulfill RFP data requests

·       Support with client creation in accordance with internal policies

·       Assist with local audit requests

·       Contribute non-practice specific tasks across the broader Client Finance function

·       Supporting the Senior Analyst on adhoc reporting and analysis

Who you are

We want to hear from you if you: 

·       Have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Progress toward or completion of a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA) is preferred.

·       Have 2-4 years’ experience in finance, commercial operations, or a similar function. Consulting or professional services industry background is a plus.

·       Have strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

·       Have high attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.

·       Are proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

·       Have experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP R3, Oracle); familiarity with tools like Power BI or Alteryx is a bonus.

·       Are an effective communicator with the ability to liaise with senior stakeholders.

·       Are a team player with the ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.

·       Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Arabic language skills is desirable
