About the job
As the Controller/Analyst in our Dubai office, supporting the Finance function with a focus predominantly on the Middle East region. This position will be responsible for driving client finance operations scope for the Middle East unit from job opening to tracking and reporting of pipeline for assigned Practices. Act as an Internal advisor and first point of contact to senior management on Client Finance Operations topics for selected Practices.
Reporting directly to the ME Financial Controller and functionally to the Regional CFO. The position also works closely with Finance teams in Dubai, South Africa, Turkey, London, and Chicago; as well as other local functions such as HR, Staffing, Office Management, and Legal.
The ME finance team consists of 11 members.
Key responsibilities
Client Finance Operations
· Coordinate with project officers to comply with Finance policies for job codes opening, ensuring accurate and timely revenue and bookings recognition
· Liaise with FST (back-end team) to accurately record project financials (budget, start and end dates, invoice schedules)
· Action time and expense recharges
· Maintain clean project records: start/end dates of projects, project closing per Sr. Controller guidance
· Coordinate translation of Arabic contracts with Translator
Invoicing & WIP Management
· Maintenance of invoice schedules in SAP
· Timely issuance of client invoices following guidance from Senior Controller: includes coordinating with FST for SAP entry + English-Arabic translation where applicable
· Timely sharing of invoices with Project Team and/or Client
· Following up with the project teams to push payments in Etimad portal
· Coordinate projects status updates with FST: includes write-up/off and full closure
· Support Sr. Controller when required in WC calls, collection dates used for treasury cash flow forecasts and project follow up.
Practice Area Pipeline management
· Update Leads and Proposal information into the L&P SAP tool in collaboration with project leadership, aim to maintain an accurate pipeline at all times (weekly or monthly basis)
· Track that PRAFs have been requested at proposal stage
Ad hoc Support: Day-to-day Client Finance & Operations tasks:
· Assist on tool access requests
· RFP Data Requests per practice allocation
· New Client creation compliance
· Non-billable code creation
· Support in local audit request

· Have a university degree or equivalent and are studying for, or completed an internationally recognized Certified/Chartered accountant qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA
· Have a minimum 3-5 years in a similar role. Professional service industry experience is desirable Have a strong accounting, analytical, numerical and structural skills
· Possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word and PowerPoint
· Have experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP R3, Oracle) is a plus
· Are well organized, and able to set priorities.
· Are a team player, but can work independently
· Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
· Are commercially minded and are willing to be hands on
· Have strong organization skills, attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
· Are a self-driven, highly motivated team player who understands the implications of collaborating in a truly global environment
