About the Role

Kearney, a global management consulting firm, is looking for a self-driven and highly motivated individual to join their Marketing team as a Marketing Event Manager. This role is integral to the team, will have great exposure to many projects, practices, and leadership, and offers a great opportunity to grow and develop marketing, communication, event planning, and digital skills.

This role is on a passionate team with a startup mentality. We work with consultants to surprise and delight clients with original ideas, campaigns, and events. Past work includes producing and promoting global content campaigns, launching podcasts, supporting client gatherings, and executing a global rebrand centering around the work, words, and photos of our employees and alumni.

This role works collaboratively with our in house creative, digital marketing, alumni, events, and communications teams.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop event concept & procedure
    • Large-scale internal meetings to support employee engagement and connection-  i.e. Americas All-Hands meeting, Practice meetings, etc.
    • Large-scale external meetings to support client development with executive leaders – e.g. CXO roundtables, Client experience dinners
    • Virtual events for internal and external audiences
    • Manage relationships with third party vendors
  • Regional event strategy & analysis
    • Bring corporate messaging to life through live, virtual, and hybrid events – working closely with global internal communications team i.e. Global Town Hall, America All-Hands meetings, etc. Ensure employee meetings are engaging, interactive, informative, and inspiring
  • Additional marketing team support
    •  Provide additional support to Americas marketing leads on a project-to-project basis
    •  Participate boldly in team meetings and brainstorms  

 

Qualifications/Attributes

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, marketing, advertising, communication, event planning and/or public relations
  • 5-7 years of organizational experience, preferably in marketing communications, communications or media relations function, corporate communication
  • Experience in building rapport with press/media representatives and having ready-made media relationships
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel), WebEx, social media, and online marketing campaign tools 
  • Experience with CRM systems and e-marketing platforms (InterAction and / or Vuture a plus) 
  • Experience in managing events (corporate event management experience is a plus)
  • Experience in handling social media platforms and tools, e.g., analytical information and functions is a plus
  • Experience working and collaborating virtually, including with colleagues from other cultures and time-zones preferable
  • Experience working with marketing services teams, whether in-house or agency
  • Good entrepreneurship (self-motivated, driven, able to work independently)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple, high-detail, deadline-sensitive projects
  • Solid writing and editing skills
  • Effective collaborator, clear and concise communicator
  • Willingness to learn and develop fluency in new online platforms   
  • Exceptional customer service skills and professional demeanor
