Job Description

As a Manager at Kearney, you will be a key contributor to the growth and development of our business as we offer honest advice and practical guidance to our clients. Depending on each client’s unique needs, projects can differ in length, size and location, giving you unique, hands-on experiences across a range of industries and service practices.

Working alongside a dedicated and diverse set of people, you will work alongside our clients to define and implement strategies that will deliver both short-term results and longer-term competitiveness in this ever-changing market environment.

Through unique hands-on experiences, you will broaden your knowledge across a breadth of topics while developing relationships with clients and colleagues across the firm. Key responsibilities

  • Consult on and manage the day-to-day direction of client projects, ensuring work is continually on track, delivering clear benefit to the client in both the short and long term, and adhering to budgets and schedules while maintaining high utilization.
  • Contribute to the development of marketable points of view on business challenges, including the creation of intellectual capital. 
  • Support strategic and tactical initiatives to identify, develop, and extend client relationships.
  • Mentor and apprentice junior colleagues, helping them hone and develop their professional skills and experience.
  • Participate in firm-building opportunities, e.g. recruiting, training, and mentoring.

The following general qualifications / competencies are preferred: 

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree qualification
  • Postgraduate qualifications highly regarded
  • Proficient in English (written and verbal)
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams, preferably in a top tier management consulting firm
  • Minimum 6 to 10 years’ work experience in a rigorous environment, such as a global company or consulting firm
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical capabilities
  • An innovative and collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Strong client consulting and strategic review skills 
  • Demonstrates experience in strategy and organisation effectiveness 
  • Extensive benchmarking experience
