About the Role

The Training and Development Coordinator will collaborate with our learning team, internal stakeholders, and vendors to plan and execute best-in-class learning programs. They will provide logistics and administrative oversight for Kearney learning programs and initiatives including participant administration and analysis, development and implementation of learning program logistics, systems support, and any project requirements. This role reports to the Global Learning Americas Regional Lead. Candidates from Black/African American, Latinx/Hispanic, and Native American backgrounds to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Independently organize frequent and complex meetings and in-person and virtual programs
  • With limited supervision, manage the deployment of a junior or mid-level consultant curriculum, including vendor and participant management pre-, post- and during programs
  • Provide strategic logistical support to several additional projects or in their entirety, which may include activities such as: participant scheduling, communications and tracking, faculty identification and communications, venue identification (including catering and audio-visual management) and materials oversite
  • Assist in logistics preparation and set-up for classroom and web-based elements, including providing onsite support for programs as needed
  • Support program design and the identification and implementation of program operations plans for new programs
  • Produce webinars and virtual learning events and manage virtual platform technologies for positive participant experience
  • Be self-directed and have confident decision-making capabilities resulting in creative problem solving, flexibility and the ability to function autonomously in an ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrate maturity and presence to manage junior to mid-level participant groups
  • Demonstrate time-management and self-management to prioritize objectives and achieve work goals
  • Consider and identify stakeholder communication required to drive progress
  • Respond quickly to requests and achieve effective results within given time frames

Relationships & People

  • Build and maintain strong relationships while serving as a stakeholder liaison to internal and external delivery partners, connecting all groups with required information in a timely and frequent manner
  • Contribute to the overall development of the team:
    • Foster a collaborative, productive and creative work environment
    • Proactively address conflicts within the team and/or performance issues, including actionable upward feedback
    • Seek feedback on performance, strengths, and development needs and respond positively to coaching and guidance

Analytics & Financials

  • Conduct desk-based research (example: venue research, participant flight schedules, price comparison, online reviews)
  • With guidance, build and manage program budgets, including updating financial trackers and participant expenses/cancellation costs
  • Function as a Learning Management System and Learning Experience Platform Super User (training to be provided) including overseeing offerings and analyzing registration/completion data, all with a high level of data quality
  • Produce high quality deliverables with strong attention to detail
  • Research solutions and structure approaches to solve problems
  • Ask proactive questions to clarify scope and approach

Communications

  • Engage proactively with participant groups, having the confidence to be front of the room in a “master of ceremonies” role during programs
  • Seek to understand others’ perspectives/concerns
  • Write well-structured, concise, and persuasive documents with limited oversight
  • Communicate information effectively and answer questions succinctly
  • Create visually appealing work that requires limited formatting, proofreading and edits

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Team administration to include coordination of programs and project meetings, calendar management, and expense processing
  • General project management skills, including planning, implementing, and stakeholder management
  • Event Planning to include sourcing, procuring and coordinating event/module components, as well as preparing participant training materials, with direction
  • Intermediate PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Understanding of Kearney’s business and organization, specifically the consulting process
  • Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
  • Aptitude for learning/using new software and systems

Qualifications

  • University degree required
  • Minimum two years of experience with event or program management
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 35% (once it is safe to do so)
