The Kearney Operations System (KOS) is a globalized delivery model consisting of Kearney’s best capabilities, expertise, and digital tools/methods while leveraging a differentiated delivery model for our clients. KOS includes a team of specialized consultants with deep expertise in supply chain and procurement transformation. The team has hands-on experience in strategizing and implementing frameworks and leading digital tools and frameworks in supply chain planning and delivery areas.
OVERVIEW OF THE KOS OPERATIONS CONSULTANT ROLE:
The Operations Consultant will be integral to client project delivery and development of CoE offerings and tools. This is a key role in executing supply chain management operations and procurement solutions with a focus on continuous process improvement.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
CLIENT DELIVERY: Support global client teams (preferably at the client site) in designing and executing supply chain and procurement solutions to (non-exhaustive):
End-to-end supply chain processes optimization
Procurement transformation – people, process, and Digital & AI
Procurement assessments and diagnostics, digital transformations
End-to-end sourcing execution - spend baseline, cost models, benchmarking, RFX execution, RFx analysis, negotiation strategy
Broader supply chain process solutioning, e.g. Supply and demand planning, Demand forecasting, inventory planning, and logistics network optimization.
Design and implement supply chain tools and solutions
CLIENT DEVELOPMENT: Proactively contribute to existing client development initiatives by:
Working in dynamic environments with varying client needs and project requirements.
Willing to step into different roles and collaborate seamlessly to achieve project goals.
KOS COE DEVELOPMENT: This would involve multiple aspects:
Work with the firm leaders in supporting and executing the strategy for the CoE.
Contribute to knowledge creation by codifying and publishing papers/reports.
Support CoE leaders in driving outreach and penetration.
Support the in-house IT tools/asset development teams.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Work experience of 3-7 years preferably with a professional services firm, on Supply chain and procurement topics, including at least some experience in demand/ supply planning and procurement / procurement consulting.
Master’s degree / MBA from a reputed institution.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent ownership and collaborative teamwork skills.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to collaborate seamlessly across functions.
Knowledge and experience running the strategic sourcing process; setting category baselines, gathering supply market intelligence, setting sourcing strategy, executing market events and negotiations, awarding and implementing supply solutions.
Knowledge and experience of working with e-sourcing tools like Coupa, Keelvar etc.
Knowledge and experience of working with broader supply chain planning and optimization a plus tools such as Llamasoft, o9, Kinaxis, OMP, Optano etc. is a good to have.
Comfortable with analysis of large data sets. Proficient in using excel and macros for analysis. Use of analytical tools (like PowerBI, Qlikview, Tableau) is a plus.
