Kearney Activate Kinaxis Business Architect

Role Overview

As a Kinaxis Business Architect at Kearney, you will bridge business strategy, supply chain transformation, and technology execution. You will help clients design, optimize, and enable end-to-end planning capabilities on advanced planning platforms such as Kinaxis Maestro.

You will lead blueprinting efforts that translate business requirements into scalable solution designs, ensuring planning processes, data needs, and decision flows are clearly defined and aligned with business goals. You will also assess whether clients are realizing expected value from their supply chain planning solutions and identify opportunities to improve adoption, performance, and business outcomes.

This is primarily a delivery-focused role, with occasional support for business development activities as engagements and client opportunities require.

Key responsibilities

• Lead blueprinting activities that translate business requirements into scalable solution designs, including process flows, planning logic, data requirements, roles, and decision-support needs.

• Facilitate workshops and design sessions with stakeholders to define current-state challenges, future-state processes, and functional requirements.

• Design business processes and solution architecture across supply chain planning areas, including demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, sales and operations planning, capacity planning, and order fulfillment.

• Translate business needs into functional solution designs, configuration requirements, and implementation roadmaps within the target planning platform.

• Act as the primary liaison between business users and technical and configuration teams to ensure solutions align with operational goals.

• Define process standards, governance models, business rules, and data requirements that support scalable platform adoption.

• Support end-to-end transformation initiatives by aligning platform capabilities with planning maturity goals and broader digital supply chain strategy.

• Assess existing supply chain planning processes and solutions to determine whether clients are achieving intended business value, process effectiveness, user adoption, and operational impact.

• Evaluate solution effectiveness using business outcomes, process performance, user experience, and planning maturity indicators; recommend improvements where gaps exist.

• Identify opportunities to improve planning performance, data quality, user adoption, and decision-making through process and system enhancements.

• Guide testing strategy, user acceptance testing, training, and change management activities to support successful deployment and adoption.

• Monitor solution effectiveness after implementation and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.

• Provide subject matter expertise to business development efforts as needed, including input to proposals and client presentations and articulation of the business value of technology-enabled planning transformation.

• Contribute to reusable delivery assets, methodologies, and points of view that strengthen Kearney’s planning capability.

• Academically accomplished, with a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, information systems, operations, or a related field.

• Experienced in supply chain planning, business architecture, consulting, or transformation roles involving advanced planning platforms.

• Knowledgeable about planning processes, including demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, sales and operations planning, and scenario analysis.

• Experienced leading blueprinting efforts that convert business requirements into functional solution designs.

• Experienced assessing supply chain planning solutions to evaluate business value realization, process effectiveness, and adoption.

• Skilled at translating business requirements into functional designs and system solutions.

• Experienced supporting client-facing engagements in a delivery capacity.

• A strong stakeholder manager and workshop facilitator who can communicate clearly and present effectively.

• Comfortable working across business and technical teams in fast-paced transformation environments.

• An excellent analyst and problem-solver with strong written and verbal communication skills.

It would be a plus if you also have:

• Experience with Kinaxis implementation or transformation programs.

• Knowledge of supply chain data structures, integrations, and planning metrics.

• Familiarity with ERP and advanced planning system ecosystems such as Kinaxis, SAP, Oracle, or Blue Yonder.

• Experience in process design, operating model development, and change management.

• Experience in consulting or solutioning environments.

• Kinaxis certification or another relevant supply chain or planning certification.

Manager compensation - $130k-190k : It is important to note that at Kearney, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills. Kearney reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness. In addition to salary, individuals may be eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.
