About the job 

As the staffing generalist for our Dubai office, you will play a crucial role in efficient resource allocation for client and internal projects, serving as a trusted advisor and offering solution-oriented support to stakeholders. This role ensures optimal project staffing, aligns consultant capabilities with project needs, and contributes to both client satisfaction and consultant development.

Reporting directly to the Staffing Manager in Dubai, you will be given the freedom to be yourself along with recognition for what you bring to the table, allowing you make a real impact and be a true Kearney Original. 

The position cooperates with the global S&O and other local functions such as HR, Finance, Pex, and Talent.

Key responsibilities 

Strategic Staffing and Project Alignment

         Lead effective staffing of all billable resources (incl. of management consultants, several specialist groups, and associated consultants) to billable and non-billable activities to optimally balance client                       requirements, consultant staffing preferences and firm economics.

         Proactively monitor staffing pipelines and project demands to strategically align resources, optimizing utilization and satisfaction.

         Test effective implementation of staffing policies, process, and guidelines, and ensure their consistency.

         Use the application of the SAP staffing tool and other systems in the region, driving efficiencies and automation.

         Ensure proper usage of existing tools like CV and expert tracker.

         Ensure meaningful staffing opportunities for all resources by actively leveraging staffing priorities, discount programs, rotation, and practice alignment.

Advanced Consultant and Project Team Liaison

         Act as the primary interface for consultant queries regarding staffing plans, project details, and utilization issues.

         Increase visibility on staffing opportunities and drive employee awareness on effective staffing strategies.

         Regularly engage with consultants and project leaders to confirm availability, resolve timesheet discrepancies, and manage project transitions.

         Conduct new joiner staffing inductions and ensure proper onboarding, including sharing relevant resources.

Operational Excellence and System Management

         Maintain and refine staffing records in management systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency in consultant availability and project statuses.

         Support in the integration of staffing data into advanced analytic tools like PowerBI and SAP, promoting transparency and operational efficiency.

Talent development

         Work hand-in-hand with the HR function to be an active supporting party in the full consultant talent development process.

         Actively support the performance cycle by providing input to talent reviews and defining and implementing action plans to drive employee development.

         Support implementation of talent development measures (e.g. rotations).

•    Capacity management

         In collaboration with HR and Operations, utilize capacity management tools and processes to optimally steer the number and mix of consultants to best serve the business needs in the long and short run.

         Support international counterparts to identify opportunities for import/export to meet client needs and balance resource availability.

Leadership and Reporting

         Actively prioritize tasks and initiatives, ensuring that high-impact and complex issues are addressed promptly and effectively.

         Lead full cohorts and local workstreams, handling efficient staffing and operational tasks.

         Manage at least one Industry Practice.

         Prepare weekly staffing reports.

         Compile various analytical reports, including rotation reports, ad-hoc utilization calculations, and weekly practice reports.

         Continuously ensure updating needed tracker to maintain accuracy of information within the function.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

·       Ensure continuous communication with other business functions, communicating insights and recommendations in a clear, impactful manner.

         Provide coaching to at least one team member on new processes and policies, day-to-day growth, etc

         Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or other relevant field, with 3+ years of experience required. MBA would be a plus.

         Are fluent in English (written and spoken). Arabic knowledge is a plus.

         Have ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a challenging, fast-paced, and growth environment.

         Have ability to interpret and apply complex rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

         Have high proficiency in internal tools/systems and programs.

         Ability to communicate with all levels of staff; displays customer service-oriented behavior.

         Have appropriate discretion handling confidential information and personal data.

         Understand specifics and dynamics of Staffing & Operations activities.

         Are a team player.

         Are pro-active and self-managing with ability to react and adapt to change quickly.

         Have Advanced Excel and PowerPoint presentation experience with the ability to turn data into insights
