Private Equity and M&A Practice Manager

Kearney helps clients use mergers and acquisitions as a catalyst for driving transformation across their business. Additionally, we work collaboratively with private equity firms through the entire investment process Our consultants work throughout the entire end to end M&A cycle:  deal strategy and screening support, diligence (such as commercial operational and back office), preclose, day 1 and post close planning and execution, divestitures (from TSA creation through the entire carve out process.)  Our dedicated global team of industry experts has unparalleled depth of knowledge, experience, and a deep understanding of operational processes.

Qualifications

Who you are

If you’re reading this, you’re smart enough to already know what we’re looking for. Insightful, yes. Inquisitive, naturally. Collaborative, of course. But we’re also looking for problem-solvers who think further than that, who don’t accept the first thing in front of them, and who are always unapologetically themselves. You are also very good at working with ambiguous datasets and imperfect data to draw insights and recommendations.

This business is fundamentally about making connections—between facts, figures, insights, strategies, tools, technologies and above all, people. That’s why we expect you to:

• Be analytically inclined and enjoy solving problems
• Demonstrate subject matter expertise in your Private Equity/Merger & Acquisition
• Be passionate about leading teams and mentoring colleagues
• Have managed at least one major workstream of the business design and/or implementation oversight
• Have experience managing proposal writing efforts; participating in pitches for consulting work; developing new business within existing accounts through client relationships
• Hold an MBA degree, or experience working as a management consultant

In addition, the PEMA practice is seeking talented individuals who have:

Five to eight years of experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate business development, corporate strategy manufacturing, or supply chain operations (or similar)

Experience with performing due diligence (Commercial, Operational, and back office) and / or corporate merger integration and divestitures preferred

Experience in one or more of these priority industries, preferred:

• Private Equity
• Investment Banking
• Consumer and Retail
• Communication, Media & Technology
• Financial Services
• Industrials / Manufacturing
