Job description:
This role is the single point of architectural authority for complex AI-enabled and technology transformation programs, with a particular focus on manufacturing. The incumbent combines enterprise, solution and integration architecture, translating business priorities into a coherent target architecture and ensuring that applications, data, cloud, AI and shop-floor technologies work together across internal teams and delivery partners.

About Value Realization: Data & Analytics India
Kearney's Value Realization – Data & Analytics team extends our traditional consulting capabilities beyond strategy into end-to-end execution advisory and solution implementation governance. Through our innovative "as-a-service" delivery model, we help clients execute complex transformation programs with value-driven governance, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality.
Our expertise spans the entire transformation lifecycle:
Engineer / Co-shape: Market sounding, business blueprinting, solution design, process excellence, IT and business Architecture, implementation scoping & planning (PMI)
Procure / Source: Cost modeling, RFI and RFP management, Vendor and SW selection, performance management, value driven contract management (e.g., master service agreements, SLAs)
Construct / Assure: Governance/ PMO as a service, Chapters as a service (e.g., Product owners, Functional managers, Coaches), agile implementation

Key responsibilities
• Own end-to-end architecture alignment across the program, from current-state assessment and target-state design through implementation and value realization • Define the enterprise and solution architecture for manufacturing use cases, covering business applications, data, cloud, AI, security and shop-floor technology • Establish integration principles and patterns across ERP, MES, PLM, SaaS, data platforms, AI services and external ecosystems, including API, event-driven and batch interactions • Specify integration requirements for master data, identity and access, data contracts, error handling, observability, resilience, performance and security • Review solution designs, interface specifications and non-functional requirements, and resolve deviations from agreed architecture standards • Identify cross-workstream dependencies, integration risks and failure points early, and resolve them before they affect delivery • Act as design authority and primary escalation point for architecture decisions across client teams, solution providers and systems integrators

We want to hear from you if you are:
• 10+ years of experience across enterprise architecture, solution architecture and integration design roles
• Demonstrated experience shaping or governing large-scale technology and AI-enabled transformations in manufacturing or industrial businesses
• Strong understanding of manufacturing technology landscapes, including ERP, MES, PLM, WMS, quality, maintenance, SCADA / OT, IoT and enterprise data platforms
• Hands-on knowledge of integration patterns and technologies, including APIs, microservices, event streaming, batch interfaces, ETL / ELT, iPaaS and middleware platforms
• Experience with cloud and data platforms and with integrating AI / analytics solutions into core operational workflows
• Track record of engaging CIO, CTO, CDO, COO and business leaders and translating strategic intent into architecture decisions and delivery guardrails
• Experience operating in multi-vendor programs involving product firms, systems integrators, specialist vendors and internal technology teams
• Ability to work with manufacturing process data, sensor data, images, text and enterprise transactional datasets
• Strong architecture governance, design assurance and technology roadmap development capabilities
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as planning, procurement, production, quality, maintenance, warehousing and logistics
• Depth across application, data, cloud, AI and integration architecture, with the ability to challenge detailed technical designs
• Ability to connect architecture and integration choices to business value, operational risk, scalability and total cost of ownership
• Comfort operating at both board / CXO and detailed design / delivery levels
• Strong consulting, stakeholder management and vendor-governance orientation
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, including production of architecture principles, reference architectures, decision records and interface standards
